The This Is England Festival involves no fewer than 400 English teachers and schoolteachers involved in image education and film analysis, and curious about British culture.
Across Normandy, in the 5 départements, the This Is England Festival team has criss-crossed the region with over 60 partnerships with cinemas. Exhibitors, cinema directors and teachers alike are delighted to fill the cinemas with young cinema-goers (primary, secondary and high schools).
Every day, thousands and thousands of them take their seats in the cinemas to discover a selection of the films in competition at each edition. There were over 20,000 of them this year!
To give you an idea of the scale of the audience, 2,000 schoolchildren attended the Cinéma Omnia République and Kinepolis cinema in Rouen every day, filling their screens to capacity.
